Hi people

These days the new "300" movie is about to be release at theaters across the world.
Never liked the first one, not because of the great action but for the true story Herodotus wrote is far better.

So, i think it's time to release my movie people.
Of course my pics can not be compared in any way with the fantastic Hollywood CGI but i think some of you might like to see how real Spartans, Athenians and other Greek hoplites were, back at 480 BC.

Hope you like it people.

All the best

Kostas

Hi Kostas,

You are a fantastic artist!  Hope this finds you well.

Thought you might be interested in this new production out of Australia (shot in Greece) , The First War for the West.  It is an epic 8-episode documentary covering the 49 years of the Greco-Persian Wars (West vs. East) with some startling new findings on Thermopylae and Marathon.  I wasn't involved with the production otherwise I would have recommended you for the on-screen ancient warfare scholar interviews.  It is hosted by Dr. Michael Scott, formerly of Cambridge, but there are 14 scholars interviewed throughout.  It contains the most detailed ancient battles ever filmed short of actually killing each other!  400 extras.  It recreates Marathon, Thermopylae, Salamis and Plataea.  But, it also covers why the present day East vs. West conflicts continue to today.  It is available as a 3-DVD set or streaming/on-Demand.  I might recommend that you watch the free "Making of" program (22 minutes) as it spells out what the program covers.  With 300-Rise of an Empire coming out this Friday I thought this would be great time to release The First War for the West.

Best, James
